Good evening. All the travel and traffic information you need to get home for the weekend without stress. Roads There are severe delays on M25 anticlockwise at J22 B556 (St Albans/London Colney) due to a stalled vehicle which has closed a lane on the exit ramp. There is further slow traffic on M25 clockwise from J22 A1081 London Colney By Pass (St Albans/London Colney) to J23 A1(M) (South Mimms). There are also delays of three minutes which are easing on M25 clockwise between J24 A111 Stagg Hill (Potters Bar) and J25 A10 Great Cambridge Road (Enfield). The average speed is 20 mph. There is very slow traffic due to earlier stalled vehicle on M25 clockwise from J26 Honey Lane (Waltham Abbey) to J27 M11 J6. Lane one (of four) was closed. All lanes have been re-opened. Grove Mill lane has been closed due to a sinkhole both ways between A411 Hempstead Road and Langleybury Lane. It is near the Grove Golf Course an the road has been closed since around 11am on Monday morning. There are severe delays of ten minutes and increasing on A110 Kings Head Hill Eastbound between A1055 Meridian Way and Drysdale Avenue with an average speed of five mph. There are also severe delays of twelve minutes on Great Cambridge Road Northbound between A10 Great Cambridge Road and M25 (Enfield). The average speed is ten mph. Severe delays of ten minutes and delays increasing can be found on Mollison Avenue Northbound between A1055 Mollison Avenue and A10 Great Cambridge Road with an average speed of five mph. There are also severe delays of twelve minutes on Hertford Road Northbound between A1010 Hertford Road and A1010. The delays are increasing on Hertford Road Northbound between B137 Nightingale Road and A1010 Hertford Road. Delays of five minutes are currently found on Great Cambridge Road Northbound between A10 Great Cambridge Road and A10. Furthermore, traffic is partially blocked and slow traffic due to accident on B1393 High Street both ways at Station Road. First reported at 16:05. Delays are building on surrounding approaches. There are also delays on A411 Watford Road/Barnet Lane both ways at A5183 High Street in the construction area. Temporary traffic lights are in operation near the High Street. Congestion can be found on A1(M) Northbound from M25 J23 (South Mimms) to J2 A1001 Roehyde Way (Welham Green) due to an earlier accident. There is congestion to Borehamwood. All traffic was held for around 10 minutes as the accident was being dealt with. All lanes have been re-opened. Tube There is a reduced weekday service until further notice on London Overground between Gospel Oak and Barking. A temporary timetable is in place, with four car trains running every 30 minutes.» more

The friends of 26-year-old Mike Thalassitis gathered to hold a vigil after his untimely death in a north London park. The former Love island contestant and footballer was found dead in Edmonton’s woodland near his north London home on Saturday, March 16. Friends lit lanterns in the park in commemoration of the reality TV star before releasing them into the sky.» more

On World Down Syndrome Day, we profile the collaborative work of Arsenal in the Community and North London United.

For the past six years, Arsenal in the Community have partnered with North London United to provide children and young adults with Down syndrome the opportunity to play football.

As well as providing a weekly football fix, the engaging sessions aim to develop the participants’ skills and technique as well as increase their social network and encourage a physical and healthy lifestyle.

Carl opens up on his admiration for North London United - and Arsenal's Down syndrome initiatives.

It makes me even more proud to play for The Arsenal knowing that the club takes such a keen interest in supporting events like World Down Syndrome Day.

At Arsenal, we have this afternoon every month, which is called Club Day. Basically, all the players are put forward to partake in various activities, more often than not for club sponsors and the like. I’ll be honest, on this particular Club Day, we were well into the afternoon and it was dragging on and becoming more and more long-winded.
